Deux Par Deux dresses for Little Girls

Baby in Decaf Plush dress

The Decaf Plush dress I bought off of Jilly bo Billy Boutique last year has been one of my all time favourite outfits for Rocket (you can see my previous review here). I was so sad when I had to set this dress aside as she outgrew it. I just had to find something equally cool to replace it. Something bright and colourful, like my little one’s personality. Something special for her big day, as she turns two years old.

I went with this Faires Believer Blue Mosaic Sweater dress with the matching tights from Deux par Deux. I have several pieces of Deux Par Deux brand clothes in larger sizes, which Rocket’s older sister wears. Pieces that I picked up used at the local Mom2Mom sale, which have become fast favourites. The quality on Deux Par Deux is down right amazing. The pieces I have still look brand new and they wash up fantastic. Knowing that they last that well when I pick them up second hand, I was super excited to be getting something brand new from Deux Par Deux for my little one.

I love love love this little sweater dress. Everything about it was perfect. It was easy to take on and off, and so very soft to the touch. Normally I wait until I’ve washed something at minimum once before posting a review, but I was just too darn excited to share these birthday photos of my little cutie with you all.  This is not a sit pretty and be still sort of dress. This is perfect for running around and playing sort of dress. The birthday girl wore this for her big day out. She ate in it, she napped in it, she climbed, slid and danced in it. Also my little girl surprised me by actually squealing with joy and saying, “Oh yay! Oh yay!”, when she first saw this outfit.

I think my only complaint was with the matching tights. I was really surprised to find that the little leg warmer section on the tights isn’t built in or sewn on. It’s a separate removable piece. I can’t decide if I think that’s a plus or a minus, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting. I think the complete outfit overall was adorable, and the matching tights definitely “made” the outfit.

Snacktime, and even the most unladylike poses look adorable in this outfit.

This child never stops moving. It’s a good thing this dress is just as cute from the back
as from the front, as her back is what I saw for most of the day.

The full retail on Deux par Deux is a little too high for me. Probably worth it overall for the quality, but I’m not the sort of person who buys $60 or $80 dresses for my daughters. However, the discount prices at Jilly bo Billy Boutique make awesome brands like Deux par Deux affordable. Overall I am in love with Jilly bo Billy Boutique. The service is great and the shipping turnaround time is quite simply amazing. I would definitely recommend following the Jilly Bo Billy Facebook page to keep up-to-date on the frequent sales they hold, as well as their fantastic “daily deals”.

Disclaimer: I received the above mentioned outfit for free.  As always, the opinions stated are my own and were not influenced by the items received.

EDIT: JillyBoBill.com was shutdown, purchased and reopened as a kids clothing deal site. However it is now US based.
