High Quality Comfort & Long Lasting Fit with pediped Flex Kids Shoes

September 17, 2013 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

I may buy 90% of my kids’ clothing used, but I never skimp on shoes. When it comes time for a new pair we always head to the kids’ shoe speciality shop, get their feet measured and have them properly fitted for shoes. You may think I’m crazy but I will willingly dish out $40-$60 for a pair of sneakers (ok, maybe a little less as I often wait for a sale).  I think having comfortable, well-fitting, sturdy, well made shoes is truly important for little growing feet.

Disclosure: Pediped provided me with a complimentary pair of dress shoes to review. Some of the links in this post are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of those links I get a small commission at no cost to you.

Pediped shoes have long been a favourite in our household. The first time I grabbed Grace a pair was because it happened to be on sale, but since then I’ve kept an eye out for this brand because I am seriously impressed with the quality.  As she’s gotten older, and her shoe size stays the same a bit longer, my daughter’s pediped sneakers have been the only shoes she outgrows rather then wears out.

All of which is to say I was pretty happy to team up with pediped for a product review. They sent Grace a gorgeous pair of dress shoes for back to school. Ones which had me rethinking my dress shoe mantra. Normally the girls wear dress shoes so infrequently that I don’t worry as much about the quality as I do for say snow boots or running shoes. My daughter immediately noticed the difference. She told me how comfy these shoes were, and that they made her feel like dancing.

These are dress shoes I would gladly send her to school in. They are not just cute, they are also comfy, and have fantastic soles with grippy treads on them, which means even dressed up my girl can run around and enjoy recess time.

Their “big kids” line is called Flex. Each pair of pediped Flex includes a pair of additional insoles. You can slip these under the shoe’s insole to make them fit just a tiny bit snugger, and then remove them as your kids’ feet grow, allowing the shoes to fit for longer. This may be my favourite kids’ shoe feature ever! You don’t have to cut the insoles, which are padded, soft and perfectly sized to fit the shoes they come with.

I seriously recommend pediped shoes. It’s worth hunting down a nearby retailer, and paying a little extra, for the fantastic quality and fit. Pediped has bunches of cute dress shoes and sneakers available in their Fall line up, for both girls and boys.

I also want to mention that when ordering online, shipping to Canada is only $7.99 or free if you spend $75 or more (and when you click through to their website the prices are in Canadian dollars).
