Y is for… Yarr!

January 5, 2011 by Deanna Tousignant 7 Comments

Yarr!
That is what Pirate Rainbow has been saying quite often lately.
Along with Walk the Plank, and something that sounds like Ahar! and Avost! or Yarrrgh!
Things I’ve been saying a lot lately include;
“Do not growl at the dining room table.”
and
“You can go back to being a pirate when you are done eating your lunch.”
Pajama Pirate with one of the lesser known pirate accoutrements, the pirate scarf.
Worn around the neck and held in both hands it helps one to balance while walking planks.

Oh and according to Rainbow pirates get to have pajama day all the time.
I could buy into that.
“Yarr!”

    The prettiest pirate I've ever seen. Wonder if I could hook her up with the terrifying captain of the St Lawrence River …?

    Reminds me of a Kate Hepburn movie where she said, "the boat is yar."

    It's so great to see little girls being pirates. When I was little, most mothers (not mine, thank goodness) thought girls should just be girly.
    Your little pirate is adorable. And "Yarr!" is perfect for Y day on ABC Wednesday.

    Tell her that Jack the Kitten approves of the scarf. Pirates and writers both need scarves!
