I am one of those people that hates change. When I find a product I like, I want it to stay the same. And when companies start mucking about, even just changing the packaging and such, I tend to get disproportionately grumpy. Which is probably why I was predetermined to hate the new Pampers Cruisers when they introduced them back in 2011. However, as I used them I begrudgingly came to realize they truly were better and they quickly became my favourite disposable diaper ever.
Flash forward a few years and now Pampers is announcing what they are calling “the LARGEST innovation in the history of Pampers”. Given how awesome their last diaper improvement was, I’m not even a teeny bit grumpy… in fact I’m actually pretty excited.
First: the Pampers packaging is changing, in an attempt to make it simpler for mamas to figure out which size to grab next. But don’t be fooled, this isn’t just an exterior makeover. Pampers has gathered opinions from nearly 9,000 moms, taken their input, and totally redesigned their diapers. The new Pampers diapers, which are launching on October 7th, are three times drier than ordinary diapers, offering up to 12 hours of overnight protection. They’ve also added “advanced comfort features for newborns” and extended the Swaddlers line into larger sizes, all the way up to size 5!
I’ve yet to see the to-be-released new diaper design, but I’m genuinely excited and curious to see how they’ve managed to improve one of my favourite products. My littlest one is finally easing her way into big girl panties, but it does almost make me wish I had a new babe around to try out the new Pampers Swaddlers.

How about you guys? Are your little ones still in diapers? Are you as curious as I am to test out the new and improved Pampers?
Nifty fact: Did you know late September to October is the time of year when the most babies are born in North America?
To celebrate the month with the most newborn babes Pampers and Walmart have teamed up to create something pretty exciting, the #PampersStork. From October 7th though the 11th the #PampersStork will be making special in person drops in Toronto and deliveries throughout Canada. Some lucky moms are in for a treat, and I can’t wait to see their reaction when they get their special deliveries.
Follow along! Join in the #PampersStork conversation on Twitter and on the Pampers Canada Facebook page to see where the stork lands.
