I just discovered a fantastic kid’s boutique clothing site, beansprout.ca. I picked out an adorable outfit for Rocket’s 3rd birthday, and I’ll have a full review and giveaway coming up soon. However, I couldn’t wait that long to share this one with you guys.
At first glance I was head over heels at the list of designer brands that they carry, some of my favourites, like Deux par Deux and Servane Barrau, but also several that were new to me such as En Gry & Sif, Claesen’s Everday and Me Too.
Bean sprout is a small independently owned Canadian online site, it’s been rated as one of the top stores in Toronto. After 16 successful years they closed up the brick & mortar shop and transformed into an online boutique. The owner, Trish Haddad, is passionate about bright, colourful clothing and accessories. She personally selects each item bean sprout carries based on its style, quality, wear-ability and price.
Bright colourful quality clothing? Just my thing! I love that the girl’s section isn’t an unending parade of fou-fou pink things. The entire site is full of unique and adorable kid’s clothes, as well as some pretty funky accessories. The prices are reasonable for the brands and quality that she carries. The sale section is full of some amazing deals, and she also runs frequent promotions and sales (You should definitely sign up for the bean sprout newsletter or follow their Facebook page to be alerted for when new sales are announced).
So what did I pick for Rocket? Well this was my first choice: Sevane Barrau Whimsey Tea Party Dress with “pretty jersey ruching and a removable printed poplin apron”. So bright, colourful, whimsical, fun… so perfectly Rocket! But it’s a springtime pre-order that won’t be in stock until after her birthday. Which means I had to keep hunting around. However it wasn’t exactly difficult to find something else I liked, the only problem was deciding which one. Any guesses on what I went with?
