Rainbow’s Haircut – Part 2

May 18, 2011 by Deanna Tousignant 9 Comments

I coerced Rainbow into letting me take some pics of her new haircut. She was reluctant. She said she wanted to wait until Mimi takes her to the hair-dresser. The hair-dresser who according to my daughter is going to fix her hair and make it tidy, but not cut it. Yeah, I’m so glad my mom is taking her and I get to sit this one out.

So yeah, not exactly straight.  You don’t really notice it once her hair is tied back or in barrettes. This is not the sort of thing I normally worry about.  I could however do without the “Yes, your hair is going to grow but not right away it takes time…” pep talks currently required for each nap/bedtime.

Here’s the new naptime set-up, with the “just-like-hair” blanket.

Oh, and for the record, the kid hasn’t even seen Rapunzel yet….

Its longer than I thought it would be which should give the hairdresser "something" to work with. But yeah, its a bit, um, uneven. Overall, I love the length. Hopefully her fun at the salon will make it all worth while (either that or buy some clippers and let her have a go at your hair)

Aww she is cute 🙂 It's not as bad as my son the first couple times I tried to cut his hair. Much better with the clippers.. lol I just won a Crea Clip it's suppose to help with even cutting.. maybe check it out for the next time. if there is one. http://www.amotherhoodexperience.com/2011/05/crea…

My daughter didn't have any hair until she was 2….as such, she won't let me anywhere near it. She's 4 now and I had to pin her down the other day to trim the bangs that were constantly in her eyes. She literally walked into her door! Except now that I cut it…you can see the bruise from said door. can't win em all, I guess.

I think it looks adorable! Not that anyone else's opinion matters when it's your hair. It looks like you were going for the asymmetrical look:)
