I’ve had my eye on Netflix for a while now. For only $7.99 a month you can watch an unlimited amount of TV shows and movies, streaming instantly over the internet. It seems like a pretty awesome deal, particularly for someone like myself who doesn’t actually have cable or satellite television.
I know that my husband would love a subscription to Netflix. It’s something he has mentioned to me several times. So I was definitely interested when they offered us a free six month subscription to give it a test drive. I’ve been browsing through their offerings and I was pleasantly surprised to see that along with the usual blockbuster movies and mainstream TV shows, they offer Japanese anime and foreign films. They also have a pretty awesome looking sci-fi & fantasy section. I think my husband and I will be curled up on the couch for many nights to come. To tell you the truth even though this is supposed to be a treat for my husband, I’m pretty excited! I can’t wait to start my subscription!

Now I haven’t gotten it set up, or even registered yet. But once I have I’ll be back in a month or so to let you know what our experiences have been. I’m curious to see how Netflix will preform on my DSL connection. Just how smooth and how fast is “instantaneous”? I’m wondering if I can use my account on multiple systems? Like for example my xBox hooked up to the TV downstairs, and then also my netbook, my computer? As I said, I’ll be back with a full review once we’ve had a chance to try it out.
