Haven’t tried it yet but plan to soon. I love that I’d be able to pick up my groceries without even getting out of my car! lol.. sometimes my little one just isn’t in the mood for shopping. This will be such a time saver and also stop me from spending more money buying extras that I just happen to see throughout the store.

I haven’t tried the click and collect and probably won’t. I’m one of those people who like to see and feel what they are going to buy. Your experience does sound good though, but I couldn’t smell strawberries to see if they are really good nor test a melon to see if it’s ripe. The fact that I like most about this is the fact that you save so much time.

Well one thing I have learned , is that there is groceries on the shelves at 7am on a friday and none on the shelves on the weekends. So if they could guarantee the stuff you want to be able to be ordered and picked up, this would be fantastic (I can’t see it happening though lol) I don’t live in the city so when I go, there better be food on the shelves LOL because I only go bi-weekly and only once a month and sometimes less in the winter (cus if its storming and not the stupid person out on the highway)

Last time I checked this service was not available at the store by me. My daughter in law lives in a different city and was telling me how much she enjoys just having to go pick up the order. I will use it when it arrives here because I have bad knees and rarely can make it through the whole store. When the pain gets too unbearable I quit and go home with whatever I have managed to get but not my whole list.

This would be a great service and I like that I could just pick up on my way to one of these activities etc. (It is too bad that I still need to put the groceries away but, it is a start!)

I know about this service but, have not tried it. I think this would be good for restocking items that I usually buy at Loblaws or for a party as the prices are the same as in the store. It would definitely cut the time spent shopping for them. However, I also shop at No Frills and Real Canadian Superstore. The price for baking soda is cheaper in No Frills than at Loblaws, plus they price match. Click & Collect is more applicable for times when most of my shopping would be at Loblaws. I mostly shop in store as there were times that I was able to get an item for free or at $10 off at Superstore, Metro and Shoppers Drug Mart stores via the Scanner Price Accuracy Code. Or use a product coupon that I have. Or get an item discounted for the day in Value Mart and Shoppers Drug Mart that you wouldn’t find in Click & Collect. It would be good if they could also offer delivery as I don’t have a car. For this, Grocery Gateway is the better choice as you can arrange delivery to your home after you’ve arrived from a trip abroad. This feature will greatly increase participation of non-car owners as it cuts the time travel and cost of commuting especially in bad weather like the Ice Storm of 2013. Less people on the road is more environmental, too.

My son has autism & it is practically impossible to shop with him as he has meltdowns in the store as he becomes overwhelmed, wants to grab every item he loves & has great difficulty waiting in lines. For parents of special needs children, this program is the most innovative & is a huge relief, saving time, upset & grief. I am so thankful to PC for changing the way we can shop!!

Superstore is the place we buy 99% of our groceries, and I this online shopping/in-store pick up option is SO perfect for a mom with young kids. I do NOT get to browse the aisles in peace when I’m shopping with the kids, so I love the way you can take your time browsing online, then pick up. The pick up fee is absolutely worth it to me!

I total understand what you’re saying, Wendy. In store shopping is a different experience and there is something to be said for getting to touch and see the things you pick. However I wanted to mention you can actually read all of the product labels online. I was surprised that they had entered all of that extra info and I thought it was a really neat feature.

The click and connect is an amazing way to shop, it lists what you search in order of sale prices, and breaks it down to pricing per sizes or units, and then allows to easily add items to cart. After that, a personal shopper at the store (when it opens during working hours) picks up the items for you, for a minimal cost and upon checkout you can choose a time to pick up all your completed shopping list at the store. If items are not in stock, you will receive a personal call informing you beforehand, which allows you to add substitutes. In this busy world, this great shopping convenience allows one to shop at their convenience, 24 hours a day from their smart phone, tablet or computer just by going to the zehrs.ca website, it saves you time, not having to spend in the store shopping. This is the best thing ever!
