I had the chance to taste test a few of the tasty new products Kellogg’s Canada has released over the last little while.
I was a bit surprised by how much my kids loved the All-Bran Cranberries & Clusters. They devoured the box is a ridiculously short time-frame. I liked knowing they were chowing down on a good for them cereal, one which is a very high source of fibre and made with natural wheat bran to help promote “digestive rhythm”.
I was even more surprised to find that my favourite of the bunch for the new raspberry centred Mini-Wheats as I normally don’t like sweet things first thing in the morning and was a bit put off by the idea of some sort of raspberry jam filled mini-wheat. Trying them I was pleased to discover they’re not overtly sweet, just a touch, and the fruit filling isn’t a heavy fake flavoured taste. I’ve always been a fan of Mini-Wheats and these are my new favourite variation!
We also had two boxes of Blueberry Muffin and Banana Bread Nurti-Grain Soft Bakes which disappeared in an embarrassingly short time period. This was a snack that my daughters adored but they refused to eat just one in a sitting, constantly clamoring for just one more.
I enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Special K Granola Bars. They are the perfect afternoon snack and great for taming the occasional chocolate craving. However the Chocolate Peanut Butter variety was just so-so, not a real hit with anyone in my family.
While I enjoy Kellogg’s Special K Cracker Chips the new Bar-B-Q and Zesty Southwest flavours weren’t ones which appealed to anyone in my household. However I put them out on the table to share during gaming night and our friends munched them up in short order, while I got to brag about how they are only 80 calories for a generous 18 chips.
What about you folks? Have you tried any of these new Kellogg’s products? What’s your current fav?
Disclosure: I am a Kelloggers blogger and as such I receive free product and other tasty goodies from Kellogg’s. As always my words and opinions are my own.
