A few weekends back I was sitting in my driveway eyeing crates full of old kids books, waiting for customers who weren’t showing up during one very slow moving yard sale. To help pass the time I started flipping through books, and inside a 1950-something copy of Uncle Arthur’s Bedtime Stories I found this gem.

I’m guessing sixty some years ago Bimbo was a perfectly normal name for a boy, but you’ve got to admit it makes the story look funny to modern eyes.
What about you guys? Had you ever heard of Bimbo as a man’s name?
