We Created Some Unique Souveniers with Crock-A-Doodle at Blue Mountain

August 28, 2013 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

On our last day at Blue Mountain we spent the morning riding the gondola and hiking along the top of the mountain. After making our way back down into the village we grabbed a bite to eat and then headed over to Crock-A-Doodle where we settled in to create some one of a kind artwork. Each girl picked out a plain clay piece to paint. There were tons of different pottery pieces … [Read more...]

Blue Orange Games is an award winning toy company that makes fun environmentally responsible games for both kids and adults. Why Koba Entertainment Rocks and Guess Who is Following their Berry Own Beat Right into Windsor?

February 5, 2013 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

Back in December we had the chance to see a Koba Entertainment show, Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite. The girls were enchanted, and I was truly impressed. The costumes, the scenery and the dancers; everything was top notch. They had some incredibly talented performers in the troupe, who danced pieces from the Nutcrackers Ballet, each performing multiple parts throughout … [Read more...]

July 3, 2012 by Deanna Tousignant 1 Comment

Now that summer vacation has started, I've been thinking about fun, free or cheap, things to do with the kids over the summer and thought I'd share my list with you. Amazingly enough my children do occasionally manage to get sick of blowing bubbles and playing in the sandbox. So here's my ideas for when we take this show on the road: 1. Go on a nature walk. Bolshoi Ballet Live on the Big Screen at Cineplex

December 2, 2011 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

Thanks to Cineplex I recently had the chance to check out the Bolshoi Ballet live. No, I didn't travel to Moscow. I watched it live via satellite at my local Cineplex movie theatre. Pretty cool, eh? I brought my four year old daughter to see Sleeping Beauty. I had my doubts as to how this was going to work out. Like most little girls in her age group, G-Girl is fascinated … [Read more...]

Our Experiences with Kindermusik

September 28, 2011 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

About a year ago now I was struggling with potty training Rainbow and was ready to offer her whatever form of bribery requested. We talked it over and what she wanted most was music classes. (ahem, you may remember that in particular she was fixated on learning to play the banjo). I looked around for age appropriate music classes and found there really wasn't much out there. … [Read more...]

Meeting the Mighty Machines

June 22, 2011 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

We made it out to the Meet-A-Machine event last Saturday and it was ever so awesome.  The kids had a blast. Particularly G-Girl, who got to touch and climb into all manner of vehicles. My little thirty-pounder got to perch on top of a three-hundred-pound police motorcycle, climb into the drivers seat of a smart car and open and shut the door on a school bus. All of which is … [Read more...]
