Little People Merry Go Round, circa 1970s

February 6, 2014 by Deanna Tousignant 1 Comment

This Fisher Price Little People Merry Go Round was made from 1972 to 1977. It has a wind up music box which plays "The Skaters Waltz" as the Little People turn in circle, riding upon various animal seats, and the cranky looking fellow in the cap pumps his arms around turning the crank. I'm a sucker for the old style Fisher Price Little People. They were some of my … [Read more...]

October 30, 2011 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

My mother-in-law just emailed me a bunch of pictures from Halloween's of the past. Photos of my husband dressed up to head out trick-or-treating, back in the 1980s.       I wanted to share them because I thought they were cute, but what really struck me while looking at these photos is, they could really have been taken from anytime from 1960 through … [Read more...]

Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future  Power On! I know I originally said I was going to do an A to Z in vintage toys... but I'm finding it pretty much impossible to discuss 80s toys without talking about the TV series that they were tied into. Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future came out in 1987. It was a live action TV series which tied in with … [Read more...]
