How excited can a girl get about make-up? Many women I knew loved make-up and had favorite brands and colours. I remember not leaving the house with out my make-up on but that was years ago. The years before I had kids. The years before I was too tired. The years before I knew what was actually in make-up and learned about chemicals and dangers. Now I was a crunchy momma. A natural woman who didn’t need make-up. But when offered the chance to review a more natural line of make up I jumped at the chance. You see now I had a daughter who was just getting interested in this cosmetic world. I had to find something I could feel good about her using. Little did know I would fall in love all over again.
I’m not sure when it happened. When I stopped even looking in the mirror let alone actually putting on a fresh coat of face paint before leaving the house. It had been years (a decade, maybe more). I had read all about the dangers of chemicals they used and animal testing. Any brand that was more natural had dull earthy tones and lets not even talk about pricing.
When my package of Mia Mariu arrived I knew the shades of lipstick were shades I used to love and wear but I figured it was too good to be true. Yet when I opened the box I actually was giddy with excitement. The compact was actually super cute (yes I used the word cute!) I loved the packaging sleek, and progressive. The colours were gorgeous. No dull earthy tones. They were vibrant and fun. I had already explored the Mia Mariu website and knew the company was founded on the idea of giving women entrepreneurial business opportunities. A Dallas based health and beauty social selling company Mia Mariu is sold exclusively through Independent Advisers and online.
The price point is perfect. I could feel good about my purchase instead of feeling guilty (as mom’s often do) spending money on myself. Well worth it. Most importantly I loved the silky feel of the eyeshadows. They had staying power without creasing and looking clumpy. BUT my true love was the lipstick! smooth without feeling sticky. Recently we’ve moved and winter is approaching fast here it’s super dry yet my lips feel moisturized and like they are getting a mini spa treatment just from wearing it. My favourite colour FYI is Granada. The perfect blend of browns and reds.
Mineral make up that is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and moisturizers to leave your skin feeling young, fresh, and vibrant.
My favourite part?
Letting my daughter use my make up without worry or guilt and hearing her say how pretty we look.
