Back in November I was sitting at the P&G Mom event and they had just hit the first scheduled break when they announced they had a surprise for us, they had “charminized” the washrooms for us. Charmin Ultra Soft toilet paper in ever stall, and baskets on the counter with ever P&G product a gal might need from tampons to air-freshener. They invited us to #tweetfromtheseat and connect online with Charmin on Twitter, which got a few chuckles from the audience (goodness knows my tablet has seen the inside of a few washrooms).
They also mentioned the Charmin Sit or Squat app and I immediately thought of my husband. As someone who suffers from colitis, he has by necessity memorized the location of every public washroom in Windsor. But when we’re on the road, it’s another story. On cue, I opened my tablet to see a Facebook message pop up from my husband. He was enroute to Toronto and had just stopped at a public waystation, one which he was complaining about rather vocally. The timing made me laugh.
Charmin’s Sit or Squat app is an awesome tool, for travellers, for those who suffer from IBD, or for those of us with little ones who have Got To Go when we’re on the go. Not only does it help you locate the nearest public restroom, it also shows reviews that others have left and gives each washroom a rating, letting you know ahead of time if it’s a “sit” or a “squat” spot. It’s free, easy to use, and a really handy app to have on hand.
