Help Pantene Donate up to $10,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society

December 20, 2012 by Deanna Tousignant Leave a Comment

According to the Canadian Cancer society more then 40% of Canadian women will develop a form of cancer in their lifetime.

Pantene wants to donate up to $10,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society & here’s how you can help:

1) Just “like” the Pantene Canada page on Facebook. Every new like equals $1 donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

2) Visit the Pantene Beautiful Lengths app on Facebook and “add your story to the ribbon”. For every comment left $1 will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

3) Cut your hair for a worthy cause. You can donate your hair from home, or visit a participating salon by Dec.31st for a free cut in exchange for your donation.  To donate it your ponytail needs to be 1)free of dyes, bleaches and chemicals 2)no more then 5% grey, 3)a minimum of 8 inches in length.

The Pantene Beautiful Lengths program helps women fighting cancer receive free wigs made from real donated human hair. Since Pantene started the Beautiful Lengths program in Canada in 2007 over 40,000 ponytails have been donated. Pantene collects the ponytails and provides the funds to turn the hair into free real-hair wigs for women with cancer. A typical wig like this requires six to eight ponytails to make, and would cost upwards of $1000 for someone to go out and purchase it themselves.

There’s just a few days left in 2012. Like Pantene Canada on Facebook, or leave a comment on the Pantene Beautiful Lengths app to help them meet their $10,000 donation goal by the end of the year.

Disclosure: I’m part of the P&G Mom program, and as such receive free product from them throughout the year, including Pantene products. As always my words and opinions are my own.
