I’m a huge fan of Command brand hooks. I seriously think they are one of the most brilliant inventions ev-ah. I don’t remember exactly when they came out, what was it maybe ten years ago? But now I can’t imagine life without them.
Plastic hooks used to be one of those necessary evils. They were easy to put up, and nice to have in spots like the back of bedroom doors. But they were also horribly difficult to remove, leaving chunks of adhesive behind. Knowing I can easily take Command hooks down as our needs change, I’m more open to using them and I put them up around our home without hesitation.
In my daughter’s bedroom we have hooks for some of her play clothes and jackets. As she grows taller, and her clothes grows longer, we just re-position the hooks, removing them and using replacement strips to place them further up the wall. And each Christmas we put Command hooks on the mantel to hold our stockings, and then take them down and store them away until next year when the holiday season is through.
But until Command approached me with their Back to School pitch, I never really thought about how awesome their products would be for lockers!
I remember decking out your locker as one of those all important high school things. A spot you could personalize. Somewhere to express yourself. A place to hang art, posters, do-dads, a tiny mirror. And of course a place to hang napsacks and lunch bags, not to mention winter time coats and hats. Sometime the hooks inside were broken or missing. Sometimes you had to share a locker, and there weren’t enough hooks to go around.
So it’s really sort of a no-brainer how perfect Command hooks would be for inside lockers. Easy to stick up. Easy to remove. Some of the bigger hooks are even designed to hold up to five pounds. And aside from the hooks there is another Command product, one I had previously never even noticed existed, which is just so darn perfect for lockers – poster strips! Just think about the possibilities for that one, posters, 3D trinkets, pocket mirrors. Time to get creative!
If you want to make your locker-using kids day, I suggest pick them up some Command brand hooks and poster strips.
