Then Lug was awesome enough to agree to hook me up with a bag to bring along to Blissdom Canada and the She’s Connected conference. However it was sort of a last minute agreement, which had us scrambling to make shipping arrangements. I worried I wouldn’t be able to receive the bag in time for the first of the two conferences, but then they shipped the bag overnight directly to the hotel.
I felt a bit like a rock star, having a package shipped directly to the hotel for me. A midst all the nervousness, and the pre-conference panic, I had something fantastic to look forward to. The first spare moment I had, I went to the business centre and picked up the package. I tore it open and pretty much instantly fell in love with my new bag.
Lug’s trademark look is beautiful wacky bright colours, like sunset orange and plum purple. But I’m not that adventurous. I chose chocolate brown.
The bag I received, upon the recommendation of the Lug rep, was the Taxicab Full Tote, which is a make-over of their classic Taxi Tote. I was like a kid at Christmas as I opened it up and oohed and awed over the many pockets, pouches, and wee compartments. It is a generously sized bag, which has been cleverly divided; just perfect for lugging around a conference. I absolutely love the way it is divided up, I was able to find a spot for everything from pens to breastpump.
I’m taking the train to Toronto for Blissdom Canada next week, and I’m eager to put the Taxicab through it’s paces as a carry-on. I’ll be reporting back after Blissdom, with a full and detailed review, but for now I can tell you this bag rocks.
