Make Mother’s Day Special with a Parker IM Pen

2013 marks the 125th Anniversary of Parker Pens. 125 years of supplying pens worldwide, that’s a pretty big milestone.

I’m tickled pink to have finally gotten my hands on one of their lovely pens. Parker Pens asked me to help promote their pens for Mothers Day.  I thought the Parker IM pen in a classic metallic pink lacquer with a satin finish that they sent me would make a nice Mother’s Day gift for my mom. But then I opened the box, just to take a few photos. And I thought to myself, “Hey I should pop the ink cartridge in and see how it writes.”

Upon removing the pen from the box, I fell in love pretty much instantly. I’ve always been a sucker for a good fountain pen, but until now I never realized just how nice a plain old rollerball pen could be. I adore the look and feel of this pen. The smooth finish feels lovely resting agains my fingers and the pen overall has a wonderful weight to it, that just feels right in my hand. So, um… Mom, sorry. This one’s for me.

A treat for Mother’s Day treat for me. I’m a mom too after all, right?
