Colouring and decorating boiled eggs is a yearly tradition at our place. It’s always a ton of fun to gather around the table as a family and decorate eggs. Then on Easter morning the girls take turns hunting down the carefully hidden eggs, amongst giggles and ridiculous levels of excitement. They’re still young enough to find the whole egg hunting game more exciting then the small treats in their baskets.
Perk of being a Kinder Mom Ambassador – awesome basket full of Kinder goodies to share with my little ones on Easter! Kinder Surprise eggs and Easter just naturally go hand in hand. I love slipping a few Kinder eggs into my girls baskets. I’m also a big fan of the larger sized eggs that only come out during the holidays. However Kinder eggs can’t compete with that whole egg decorating thing. Or wait, can they?
I was a bit surprised by the newest edition to the Easter-time Kinder line up the Kinder Surprise Egg Painting Kit. It includes 5 Kinder Eggs, 5 plastic shells to go around the outside of the eggs, and three tubes of paint. I honestly can’t decide if I think this is brilliant or just plain silly. I’ve set our kit aside to try out on Easter eve, alongside our normal egg decorating. So this year I guess we’ll be hiding some boiled eggs, some chocolate.
What are your Easter traditions? Will there be Kinder eggs in your little ones basket? Do you paint eggs and hide them?
